Love Blocks

Our room is decorated black and white and red. I thought of this cute idea one night when I couldn't sleep. I just bought plain wooden blocks at the craft store. I modge-podged the paper on and used my fabulous Cricut machine to cut out the letters.

You want to know a secret about how to make the gloss extra shiny? First modge podge the paper then add gloss spray. Then do the same pattern two more times. The more you do it, the more it looks kind of "plastic-y". Love it!

More Fourth of July!

Going along with the July theme of patriotism, here is some more cute decorations. I made this when I first got married. It's a key holder that is right by our door. I designed the key holder part. The dangle idea I got from the Wood Connection. You know how much I love that place!

This little Lady Liberty is my favorite. Isn't it adorable!

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July everyone! I thought that I would post my patriotic crafts that I have done. I did these last year, so I don't have step by step instructions, but you can get the basic idea.
Here is my "HOME". Every month there is a different object in place of the "O". This month is Uncle Sam's hat. This idea came from the Wood Connection.

This flag idea also came from the Wood Connection

Happy Birthday Sis!

It's my sister's 19th birthday today! I can't even believe it. Of course it is the perfect excuse to make a card. I love making cards. I love that you can make them be anything you want. This is my all time favorite type of card to make.
First I cut out the white paper. I use my Cricut machine to do the fancy work.
Then I use a brad to hook the flower on to the white paper.
I glued down the white paper to the polka dot paper.
Then what you do is use another brad on one side of the card to hook the bottom and the top together. That way in order to open it, she just has to slide it around.
It is really easy and always ends up super cute!
