Spring has arrived!

Spring is here which means warm weather and flowers and CUTE decorations! I love spring time decorations. The colors are by far the cutest of all year! I had my spring break last week so I took a little stop at Wood Connection. I bought the shadow box there as well as the cube blocks and the adorable scrapbook paper. This was such a breeze to make... I painted the shadow box first and then modge-podged the paper on. I stained and painted the blocks and glued them on. Super easy!

Have a great weekend enjoying the weather!!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Last Monday was my mom and dad's 24th anniversary!! I have taken on the {huge} task to organize all the family pictures, and I figured that their wedding was a great way to start. There's no way to do a scrapbook for all the family pictures- we literally have THOUSANDS. But wedding pictures always hold a special place in my heart.

I put their marriage certificate in a plastic cover so that way they can slip it out if they ever need it.

This is from my amazing Cricut. What did we do before these things???

They are pretty cute, huh?

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!! Love you!!

Quiet Book for Baby

Well baby cousin turned is turning one! I can't even believe how fast time goes. She had her party last Saturday as you can tell by these cute party hats that my sisters and I are wearing! :)

For her birthday, I decided to make her a quiet book. She's starting to get to that stage where she likes to look at books, so I thought this would be perfect. Every time I finish a quiet book I forget how long it takes! So f.y.i. if you ever want to do one of these make sure you either have tons of time on your hand or you start ahead of time!

One of my favorite parts of the book is the pictures of mom and dad. What I did was take a sheet protector and cut it up then sew the edges to hold the picture in place. And that way, if anything gets spilled on the picture it can just be wiped up.

I used thin jewelry wire for the guitar strings and the little door opens on the home.

The jackolantern pieces can come off the pumpkin and be rearranged.

I think the pig is my favorite one!

The seeds on the watermelon come off so that she can practice her buttons.

I loved the You on this page. Isn't she adorable? I did the same sheet protector idea with this one, but I put a velcro on the top part. That way for future babies she can switch the picture out.

And how cute is this picture! She was so good through the whole party but the poor little thing got tired by the end! :) This by far was one of my favorite pictures of the night!
